Follow one of the paths through the White Wood forest and you’ll discover a variety of landscapes.
There are areas of moorland and limestone hills. The observant will spot the rare plants to be seen here, while in the morning mists walkers may spot roe deer, or in the evening hear the distinctive sound of the European nightjar.

Footpaths and mountain bike circuit :

White Wood Touvre path 17 km
Touvre to Garat path 16 km
    Path around Garat 26 km
ÀPaths of longer walks - the GR4 and GR 36 – also cross the area.

    Cycle

The commune is crossed by part of the cycle track that when completed will one day connect Oslo to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Touvre is also the point of departure of two local rides, one of 40 km and other one of 30 km ; a third more family-friendly track of about 5km is planned.

    Equestrian

Though they are not especially marked, riders can use all of the forest paths.

    Canoe :

Touvre is the point of departure for canoe trips - 11 km of navigation between Touvre and Gond-Pontouvre (where the Touvre and Charente rivers meet). It’s a great way to see the river and enjoy its rich diversity.
